Release: Chat now available in Admin


Chat now lives in the admin portal. Admins can manage conversations from Admin rather than only from the app.

  • A new Chat page under Communication for managing conversations directly from the admin portal

  • Create channels and add users with role filters — players, coaches, parents — and team-based selection

  • Open channel details in a side panel, including toggling Announcement mode

  • Improved handling of rich content in chat: files, drills, and coaching video requests


Building a channel from role and team rather than a hand-picked list means it reflects your current roster instead of a spreadsheet somebody has to remember to update after tryouts.

Why this one matters more than it looks

Most software in this category quietly forces you to split your job across two devices. Payments, emails, and scheduling live on the desktop. Chat and texting live on your phone. Nobody designed that split on purpose — it's just where each feature happened to get built first — but you're the one who lives with it, flipping between a laptop and a phone to get through one afternoon's work.

That isn't a reasonable thing to ask of someone running a club. You aren't at your desk around the clock, and when you are at it, you shouldn't have to pick up your phone to answer a parent.

So the goal is straightforward: every job available on either device, with the choice driven by where you happen to be standing rather than by which screen the software decided a feature belonged on. Most of our work toward that has run in one direction — bringing desk tasks like bookings and payments onto the phone. Chat in Admin runs the other way, taking something that had only ever lived on mobile and making it work from a desktop.

Closing gaps like this one is how the category grows up. Youth sports operators deserve tooling as capable as what every other industry takes for granted.
