What information can I store in a player profile?
Player profiles in The Futures App are built to capture everything a coach needs to track development over time. Coaches can attach videos, written notes, and performance metrics directly to a player's profile, creating a single source of truth for that athlete's history with your program. Parents can view their child's profile and see the same data their coach sees, which keeps everyone aligned without requiring a separate conversation.
How does video storage work for player development?
Coaches can upload video directly to a player's profile from their phone or tablet. Videos are tagged to the player and timestamped, so you build a chronological library of that athlete's mechanics over time. This is especially useful for skills where visual comparison across months or seasons is the most effective feedback tool. Parents can view videos their coach has shared with them, and coaches can add written notes alongside each video to provide context.
Can I track player metrics and performance data over time?
Yes. The Futures App lets you log custom performance metrics — velocity readings, exit velocity, sprint times, or any quantitative data point your program tracks. Metrics are date-stamped and displayed as a trend over time, so you can see whether a player is progressing, plateauing, or regressing. Coach-inputted data is deemed Verified and comes with a badge.
How do drills and workouts work inside the app?
Coaches can build drills and workout plans inside The Futures App and assign them to individual players or entire teams. Each drill can include a description, video demonstration, and suggested sets and reps. Players and parents can see assigned drills in the app, check them off when complete, and coaches can track completion rates across their roster. This keeps your training program organized and gives players accountability beyond just practice time.
Can parents see their child's development data?
Yes. The result is a more professional feedback loop that replaces the sideline conversation or the text thread that gets lost.
Is the training module useful for individual trainers as well as full clubs?
Absolutely. Independent trainers and small academies can leverage The Futures App's training tools the same way large clubs do, just with a smaller roster. That said, we are selective about who we work with. Our product is subscription based, and if you are on five tools and don't have budget for a unified system it is likely not a fit.
