Release: More control over what your Portal shows and faster bookings for your staff
Intro
We started The Futures App because we kept watching great coaches burn hours on logistics that had nothing to do with coaching. Registration headaches, payment follow-ups, manual booking requests, the administrative weight on youth sports operators is real, and it compounds. Our mission is simple: help coaches thrive. That means building software that handles the operational complexity so they can stay focused on the sport and the kids in front of them.
A big part of that is payments. We invest heavily in payments tooling not because it's a revenue line for us, though it is, but because financial control is coaching control. When a club can collect fees reliably, offer the right programs to the right families without friction, and stop chasing down invoices, the director has more bandwidth. More bandwidth means better programming, better staff, better athlete development. The two aren't separate.
This release is squarely in that vein. We're giving operators sharper control over what families see in the Portal, how private offerings get distributed, and how quickly your staff can create bookings. Small surface area, real operational impact.
What is new
Public & Private Visibility
Admins can now mark any Service as Public or Private. Public services appear in your Portal as before.
Private services are hidden from the Portal entirely, useful for internal offerings, beta programs, or anything you're not ready to surface. ALSO if you are an operator that wants to have folks call to book THIS is your feature. You can keep the control without beating down your data.
Share private services via direct link
Private doesn't mean inaccessible. Every private service has a shareable direct link you can send to specific families, groups, or coaches. Anyone with the link can register, while the service stays invisible to everyone else browsing your Portal.
Faster admin-created bookings
The Create Booking flow has been rebuilt to be significantly faster for admin staff. Fewer steps, less clicking, your team can create bookings on behalf of members in a fraction of the time it took before. Ideal for front-desk staff and coaches handling walk-in sessions.
